Important Notes for your Players and Officials:

DRESS CODE
On the golf course and practice areas:
 Conventional golfing attire including golf shoes must be worn.
 Trousers and shorts must be tailored.
 Tailored shorts must be accompanied by long socks or short white ankle socks.
 Men’s shirts must have sleeves and a collar or polo neck and must remain tucked in.
 If caps are worn, peaks must face forward.
 The following items are not considered conventional golfing attire: denim jeans, tracksuits,
trousers/shorts with external pockets, attire from other sports, and ripped or frayed
clothing.
In the Clubhouse:
 Neat, smart, and appropriate attire is always required in the Clubhouse.
 Except in the Clubroom, golf attire is acceptable however shorts may not be worn
upstairs.
 Golf or other sports shoes may not be worn upstairs in the Clubhouse.
 Hats and outerwear are not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse.
Clothing for Dining in the ‘Club Room’ after play –
a. Players must bring a spare/second set of clothing for dining and the presentation.
a. Smart golf attire with ‘proper’ shoes.
a. Officials and Guests:
Officials – during the day, smart golf attire and shoes. In the evening, jacket and ties for
men, smart attire for ladies.
Guests/Parents – during the day smart golf attire, if possible, in the evening, for men
jacket and ties and for ladies, smart attire.
MOBILE DEVICES
Except in an emergency, the making or receiving of calls is not permitted in any area except the
Locker Rooms, Telephone Booth, and Car Park.
Aside from making calls, mobile devices may be used on the course and in all areas of the
Clubhouse except the Clubroom. In the Clubroom, devices may not be used for purposes other
than photography and not at all during formal events.
Devices must always remain silent and must not disturb other patrons. The watching of
video/streamed content on mobile devices is not permitted except on the practice area as a
teaching aid. Listening to music and the use of headphones is not permitted at any time on the
Club premises, this includes the golf courses, practice areas, clubhouse, and car park.
Devices may be used by officials of the Club during Meetings being held in any part of the
Course or Clubhouse.
Mobile Phones are strictly not permitted in the Club Room where players will be dining
after play.

Arrival:
1. From mid-day onwards, players are asked to report to the desk in the Main Entrance Hall
(Porters Lodge, Ground Floor) where the Registration Helpdesk will be situated. This
desk will be administered by Michael Taylor (East Lancs) & Rob Harrison (East Lancs).
2. Players must bring their individual WHS CDH number.
3. There is a ‘Male Visitors’ open locker room where boys can leave their change of clothing
etc.  Girls are allowed to use the Ladies Locker Room (Code 3639).
4. The Captain and Lady Captain of Royal Lytham & St Annes GC will act as starters for the
day.
5. The tee is reserved from 1pm to 3pm.
6. Tees are every 10 minutes.
7. Advice is that for a three-ball, 18-holes will take approximately 4-5 hours.
8. The chipping, putting and practice facilities can be used. Practice balls can be obtained
from the Professional’s Shop.
9. Players will be issued with a ‘token’ to receive their sandwiches and chips, which players
can redeem after their round of golf.  
10. Non-playing officials, before 6pm, friends can order food & drinks from the Bar, but they
must pay for their own food.
11. During the competition, all players are expected to walk the course.
12. For LGAJTT referees and officials, we have reserved two (2) electric buggies for our own
use.
Format:
1. Players must be 18 years or under on the 1st of January 2025.
2. Each Association has 6 Players.
3. Maximum Gross Handicap 16 Handicap or below (Cat 1; Cat 2) though a selected player
of 17+ handicap can play but is limited to a handicap of 16.
4. Tee will be allocated in Groups of 3 – Tee times to be advised nearer the date.
5. Each Group of 3 will be a mixture from various Associations.
6. Individual Medal Scoring (Strokeplay)
7. Green (Yellow) Tees for Boys
8. Orange (Red) Tees for Girls (SSS Variance)
9. Closing Date for Team Entry – Friday 15 th August 2025
10. Please contact Mike Taylor (East Lancs) with your team players names, handicap and
CDH number. Mike’s mobile is 07849 606120 email mikejtaylor14@gmail.com. It is a
qualifier, and individual results will be recorded in the WHS system.
11. There will be a large television screen detailing start times and scores.
Players Safety
1. Players, please read the scorecard.
2. On the 8 th hole, there is a Public Right of Way. Please make sure the fairway is clear
before playing.
3. At the 11 th hole, there is halfway house, which will not be open but there is a toilet. Players
can top-up water bottles from the outside water filling area.
4. Any wayward balls leaving the course boundary or going into a resident’s property, must
be reported at the recording desk.
Food
1. The competition will provide sandwiches and chips after the players round of golf. Please
inform your team organiser of any food allergies in advance.
2. It is advisable, players to pack extra food water, fruit, chocolate bars etc in their golf
bags.
3. Any waste packaging must be discarded into appropriate waste bins and not left idly on
the course.

Scoring
Best 4 Individual Association Gross & Nett Scores on the day to count.
In the event of a tied team score:
1. The 5 th best team player – best Gross or Nett score
2. The 6 th best team player – best Gross or Nett score
3. The 6 th best team player – back 9 Gross or Nett score
4. The 6 th best team player – back 6 Gross or Nett score
5. The 6 th best team player – back 3 Gross or Nett score
Presentation
1. Sandwiches and chips will be served in the ‘Club Room’.
2. Players must wear smart golf clothing or smart casual attire with proper shoes (refer to
dress code section above)
3. Male officials to wear jacket & tie. Ladies to wear smart casual attire.
4. Presentation of the LGA Junior Team Trophy will be around 8.15pm.
5. We are hoping that a Past Captain from Royal Lytham & St Annes GC will present the
prizes.

Best Collective Nett Score (2 nd ) – Individual Trophies (6)
Best Individual Gross Score – Individual Trophy (1 st & 2 nd )
Best Individual Nett Score – Individual Trophy (1 st & 2 nd )
Best Scratch Team (1 st ) - Individual Trophies (6)
Best Scratch Team (2 nd ) - Individual Trophies (6)
