Introduced in 2011 to highlight best E.L.G.A. junior playing performance within the;
L.U.G.C. JUNIOR INTER REGIONAL
LEAGUE & FRIENDLY MATCHES FOR EACH SEASON.
to establish the
"E.L.GA.TEAM PLAYER OF THE YEAR MERIT AWARD"
Points awarded for individuals team match results . ( Both League & Friendly Matches.)

Points allocations are based on the SINGLES MATCHES ONLY and are accumulated as TOTAL POINTS OVER ALL MATCHES  per player as against the orginal plan to average results.
This has been amended to give players who compete in more matches a fair chance of improving on overall results.
Trophy presented at the year end Prize Presentation Night.
